Consistency is Queen, but Play is Power.
Magic School Lesson: Intuition 101
We lean on schedules to feel safe. I am the Queen of Consistency, but sometimes the most "aligned action" is to break the routine.
Somedays, my body says: "Go outside and play." For the Type-A high achievers I serve, "Play" feels like a threat to the goal. It feels uncomfortable. But leaning into that discomfort is how you recalibrate your nervous system and realize that it’s actually more ok, safe and useful to play than one might think .
That strong pull towards rebellion may be alerting you to something that needs tending, like you mental state, emotional wellness or physical energy.
Beware those who ignore the pull of this seeming siren’s song (ooooo alliterative sibilance), you might be getting a warning about getting sick or something nasty coming your way. Whispers that invite you to play may be protective from the Universe trying to get your attention.
Body Magic Tip: Next time you feel "teeth-gritting" resistance to a scheduled task, ask your body: "What would feel like play right now?". Give yourself a 5 - 10 minute break doing what would feel good. How does this shift your energy?
