The Intersectional Alchemist: You are the Living Miracle
First of all, I offer you my sincere gratitude for sticking with me this month. This series of newsletters relating to family dynamics, Ancestral Healing and personal healing has felt intense and very necessary to write.
Secondly, CONGRATULATIONS to you! Even if you just read these missives and took no other action it still took effort to breathe through the discomfort that may have come up for you.
Even when positive seeds are planted...the process can feel like a mixed bag of emotions.
So let’s invoke Wonder and use it to soothe ourselves while undertaking (or even contemplating) this kind of Shadow Work.

Now, serious question: Do you realize the sheer statistical impossibility of your existence?
Witch Wisdom: It is useful to pause and contemplate the miraculous and fantastical circumstances that colluded to result in YOUR unique existence.
That’s a very powerful perspective to hold when evaluating your life. Let that lens point out the precious opportunity you have been given to do...whatever you want with this life? This very statistically slim opportunity of YOUR life is a portal to untold adventure. What will you do here on this world called “Earth”?
I don't pretend to know why humanity exists or any of “it,” but I do know that we are here. If we're going to do this thing called LIFE, then we might as well make the most of it.
How will your own personal little bright spot of compressed stardust shine and twinkle in the galaxies? Will you embrace your capacity for greatness? If you were to look at your little bright spot in the universe now, from a distance, what do you think of it? What does the light reveal about your legacy?
Witch Wisdom: You can make a change anytime you want.
True Shadow Work isn't just about mourning and working through trauma. It’s definitely not about cutting off the "dark" parts of your history, personal or collective. It’s about taking the starlight of your ancestors and the Earth of their bones and weaving them into something new.
Something sovereign.
I look at my life and recognize that it is a coordinated effort of a community that buzzes and hums within me. My conscious connection to the collective I embody is critical for my wellness and success. This world would be so much harder without ancestral support and wisdom (models of what to do and what NOT to do).
I represent my people without fear or shame, so that I can celebrate other people and other cultures fully and in great joy. It’s how I expand my network of support, heal nasty collective wounds and build towards a more expansive/liberated vision for humanity...a true global family.
